33本発見された1980年代のデッドストック品を
アンティークの雰囲気にリビルド！
レクタンギュラー138BLは、1980年代に日本で実際に販売されていた製品で、デッドストックとなっていたスイスメイドの手巻き式時計を、ムーヴメントとケースはそのまま生かして、文字盤や時分針のデザインだけを作り変えた、いわゆるリビルド品です。
発見されたうちの製品化が可能だった33本に対してリデザインを施し、 約1年かけて製品化。当時の手巻きムーヴメント（中の機械）とケースはそのまま活用して、文字盤デザインと時分針をすべて作り直しました。
このモデルの魅力はそもそもケースの作りにありました。側面に段差を設けた通称ステップドタイプのケースが採用され、加えて12時と6時位置にはさりげなくちょっとしたオーナメントがあしらわれるなど、時代を感じさせる造形で作りも凝っていたのです。
そのため文字盤デザインは、この装飾的なケースに対してそれをおさえる意味で、あえて地色にブラックを採用しつつ、インデックスに太めのアラビア数字を使い、文字盤デザイン自体を男っぽく存在感のあるものに仕上げました。
搭載する手巻きムーヴメントは、1793年スイス創業と古く、1900年代初頭には年産1000万個、従業員数約1000人を抱える大手で、ムーヴメント専業メーカーとしてはかつて２番目の生産量を誇っていたフォンテンメロン社製。小振りな手巻きムーヴメントを得意とし、1940年代にはロレックスの手巻きモデルにも採用されていたほどで、その信頼性は高かったと言えます。
今回は、1980年代当時の未使用のデッドストック品ではありますが、手巻きムーヴメントにおいてはそのまま使うのではなく、すべてオーバーホールを実施し、調整を行なったうえで組み上げられています。そのため30年以上経った製品ではあるものの、ムーヴメントについては1年保証が付くため安心して楽しめます。

＜※デッドストック品についてのご注意＞
本製品は未使用品ですがあくまでも30年前の商品です。そのため現在の商品とは作りも性能もかなり異なります（どちらかというとアンティークウオッチに近い）。したがって、購入にあたっては以下の点についてあらかじめご承知おきください。
●製品化に当たっては外装がキレイな状態の物を選んでおりますが、外装に対しての磨きなどは施せないため、ルーペ等で確認すると小さな傷や若干の変色が見られる場合があります。デッドストック品のため予めご了承ください。
●ケースは真鍮製で、裏ブタにはステンレススチールが使われていますが、当時の構造のままのため非防水です。着用時には雨や汗などにも注意が必要となります。
●ムーヴメントについては、1度オーバーホールを行い調整をしておりますが、オールドムーヴメントのため、精度については姿勢差や環境によっても今後バラツキが出てくる可能性があります。また、現在のムーヴメントとは違い、デリケートな部分もあります。よって、ご使用の際はあまり激しい動きは避けるようにしてください。

時計ブランド“アウトライン（OUTLINE）”は、「POWER Watch」「LowBEAT」そして「TIME Gear」と数々の時計専門誌を手がけている菊地吉正が、数多くの時計に長年接してきた経験を生かし、ファッショナブルで長年愛用できる時計にこだわって作りたいと、自らが立ち上げたブランドです。
アンティークウオッチそのものズバリではないですが、機械式腕時計の黄金期だった、1940〜60年代の雰囲気を大切にし、その時代のテイストを日常使いで楽しんでもらえるものを提供したいという思いから、「概略・あらすじ」といった意味合いの “アウトライン（OUTLINE）”というブランド名を付けました。大人の男性でも安っぽくなく安心して着けられて、しかもファッション的にもいい感じで決まる。そんな時計を小ロットでこぢんまりと展開しています。

Rebuilt with an antique look!
The Rectangular 138BL was actually sold in Japan in the 1980s, and is a rebuilt version of a dead stock Swiss-made manual-winding watch, with only the dial and hour hand and minute hand redesigned, while keeping the movement and case intact.
It took about a year to redesign and commercialize 33 of the discovered watches that could be commercialized. The dial design and the hour and minute hands were all redesigned, while the manual-winding movement (the machine inside) and the case were kept as they were.
The appeal of this model lies in the design of the case. The case is a stepped type with steps on the sides, and in addition, there are small ornaments at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock.
For this reason, the dial design itself was finished with a masculine presence by using thick Arabic numerals for the indexes, while adopting black as the base color to keep the decorative case in check.
The manual-winding movement installed in the watch is made by Fonten Melon , a company that was founded in Switzerland in 1793 and was once the second largest manufacturer specializing in movements, with an annual production of 10 million units and about 1,000 employees in the early 1900s. They specialized in small hand-winding movements, and in the 1940s they were used in Rolex hand-winding models, so it can be said that they were highly reliable.
Although this is an unused dead stock item from the 1980s, the manual winding movement was not used as is, but was overhauled and adjusted before being assembled. Therefore, although the product is more than 30 years old, you can enjoy it with peace of mind because the movement comes with a one-year warranty.

＜Warning about dead stock movement＞
This product has never been used, but it is a product from 30 years ago so it is quite different from the current products in terms of manufacturing and performance (it is more like an antique watch). Please be aware of the following points before purchasing.
●Since we cannot polish the exterior, there may be small scratches or slight discoloration when checked with a loupe. The case is made of brass.
●The case is made of brass and the case back is made of stainless steel, but it is not waterproof because of its original structure.
●The movement has been overhauled and adjusted once, but since it is an old movement, the accuracy may vary depending on the attitude and environment. Also, unlike today's movements, there are some delicate parts. Therefore, please avoid too much violent movement when using it.
